Gynecological Problems
Many gynecological conditions are closely linked to fertility. A growing body of peer-reviewed research suggests that Chinese herbal medicine may help address them.
Get Free AssessmentOur Clinical Experience
Over more than twelve years, we have worked with hundreds of women experiencing gynecological conditions that affect their fertility and quality of life. While we do not claim to cure these conditions, our clinical experience—supported by published research—shows that Chinese herbal medicine may help improve symptoms, restore balance, and support the body's own capacity to heal.
Every programme is personalised. We assess your individual situation and tailor herbal formulas to your specific needs, adjusting them as your body responds.

Conditions That Can Affect Fertility
These are the most common gynecological conditions we see in our patients. Many of them are interconnected, and addressing one often improves the others.
Recurring Gynecological Conditions
We also work with women experiencing recurring gynecological conditions that affect overall wellbeing and may impact fertility.
What the Research Says
A growing number of peer-reviewed studies suggest that Chinese herbal medicine may offer meaningful support for common gynecological conditions. Here is a summary of the published evidence.
Endometriosis
A 2023 meta-analysis of 34 randomised controlled trials (3,389 participants) published in the American Journal of Chinese Medicine found that Chinese herbal medicine, used alone or combined with conventional therapy, relieved endometriosis-associated pain with fewer side effects than conventional treatment alone.
A separate meta-analysis of 11 studies found that CHM significantly improved pregnancy rates and reduced miscarriage rates in endometriosis-related infertility.
PCOS
A randomised controlled trial published in BMJ Open found that Chinese herbal medicine produced statistically significant improvements in menstrual regularity in women with PCOS over six months, with a reassuring safety profile.
An umbrella review of 18 systematic reviews confirmed symptom improvement across studies, while noting that larger trials are needed.
Menstrual Pain
A meta-analysis of 38 randomised controlled trials (3,982 participants) published in Maturitas found that the traditional herbal formula Siwutang showed superior pain reduction compared to conventional medicine, with fewer adverse events.
Uterine Fibroids
A systematic review of 38 randomised controlled trials (3,816 participants) published in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine found that the traditional formula Guizhi Fuling combined with conventional treatment was more effective than conventional treatment alone in reducing fibroid volume and improving symptoms.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
A meta-analysis of 30 randomised controlled trials (3,586 patients) found that Chinese herbal medicine combined with western medicine significantly improved clinical outcomes and decreased recurrence rates compared to western medicine alone, with low adverse reaction rates.
Note: While these studies show promising results, many authors note methodological limitations and call for larger, more rigorous trials. Chinese herbal medicine should be considered as a complementary approach, and we always recommend discussing your situation with your GP or specialist alongside any herbal support.
